Who we are
Mason District Arts Council is a volunteer community organization of writers, visual, and performing artists in Fairfax County’s Mason District, which includes Annandale, Bailey’s Crossroads, Culmore, Lincolnia, and Seven Corners. We were founded in 2024 with the goal of building community around the arts in the Mason District.
What we do
We celebrate the multicultural traditions and histories of our residents by organizing community all-ages arts events in the Mason District, including arts festivals, workshops, concerts, dance, theater, spoken word performances, exhibitions, community murals, and social networking gatherings.
Mason Arts 250
Our Mason Arts 250 program is aimed at engaging the public through the arts, based on the ideas at the heart of the American Revolution. Artists and community members are collaborating on multiple activities – involving music, poetry, theater, speech, and visual arts – in June and July of 2026. Learn more.
Supporters
Funding and other support is provided by ArtsFairfax, the office of the Mason District Supervisor, locally-owned businesses, and private donations. The Council includes a coalition of individuals, neighborhood associations, legacy Mason District-based arts organizations and non-profits. If you want to support us, please reach out to volunteer, follow us on social media (links in the footer), subscribe to receive occasional emails from us about our activities, and participate in our arts events.
